Summer of Sport

We all know that this is going to be a great summer of sport, Euro champs (it’s over), Tour de France and the Olympics. But what about the people that are not so well known doing great things out of the public eye.

Barry Jones riding the Gran Fondo Marco Pantani, over 100 miles of awesome climbing in just over 9 hours.

Richie Webster running the Verdon Canyon in France in 20 hours. 100km!!

Dave Walton completing Iorn Man Germany in 11 hours 50 minutes giving him 9th in his age group along with club mate Phil Cuthbert completing it in 13 hours 42 minutes.

Susie Coughlan finishing in 3rd place in the Llandudno sea Tri-Athlon.

Well done to everyone, all clients of Massage for Life. If I’ve helped you all, even  just a tiny bit then it gives me great job satisfaction.

Thanks guys!!

Hot weekend.

Awesome weekend for sport if you like it hot (and some do!)

Richie Webster does, as he came second in the Anglesey Ultra. 100 km in 11 hours 55 minutes, 2nd place overall! Great result! Well done.

My good friend Steve Gauler organised his 3rd Broken Spoke Sportive on Sunday, another great success with over 200 riders tackling 2 challenging routes of 56 miles and 85 miles. And he organised great weather as well as some superb food at the feed station. Nice one Steve. Next year?

The North West tri athlon was also on last Sunday. I’ve had no results in as yet for that event but I’m sure reports will be coming in soon.

Well done to everyone who took part in all events including the 16mile Wirral Walk.

Old boys rule.

Just a bit of late news I heard this week. Well done Dave Walton, main man at Wallasey AC. He completed the Majorca Half Iron Man in 5 hours 34 minutes giving him 9th in his age group. Top man! I won’t say how old he is but he is definitely a veteran and showing a clean pair of heels to a few of his younger club mates. Well in Dave.
